PAPER DOLL PROJECT
When the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled Summit Players Theatre's 2020 tour,
the company shifted to creating digital content for our audiences. This content included a monologue series, videos detailing the history of Shakespeare, a nature scavenger hunt in Wisconsin state parks, and this paper doll project. My concept was to create a set of paper doll style costume renderings that could be printed out at home and colored in. I made two dolls and a series of costume pieces based on Summit's 2019 production of Romeo and Juliet. These were then posted on Summit's website for families to download. The project was well received and it was decided that a set of paper dolls will be made for future productions as well.
